The first Hispanic Heritage Month ceremony was celebrated this year in Richmond Hill. The ceremony was organized by Norma and Israel Trivino and counted with the presence of Richmond Hill dignitaries such as Mayor Dave Barrow, MPP Michael Parsa, and Councillor David West and Tom Muench. Inspiracion Latina and Estampa Peruana provided the entertainment.

The Opening Ceremony of our Hispanic / Latin American Heritage Month 2018 was organized by the Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council (HCHC) at the Toronto Centre for Social Innovation. This event was attended by special guests Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, MP Pablo Rodriguez, Toronto City Mayor John Tory, Senator Rosa Galvez and Councillor Ana Bailao.
